8.2. Pedal

GENERAL INFORMATION

Adjustment of a pedal

1 – switch

2 – lock-nut

3 – floor

L1 – a free wheeling of a pedal

L2 – pedal height

And – a gap between the case of the switch of a signal of braking and a pedal

Adjustment
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine, press several times the accelerator pedal and on the working engine measure pedal height from a body floor (L2). Make sure that the pedal after pressing completely comes back to a starting position.
2. The distance is measured between a floor and an overlay of a pedal.
3. Stop the engine, press several times a pedal of a brake and check a free wheeling of a pedal (L1).

Gap between the case of the switch of a signal of braking and a pedal

If results of check of a free wheeling of a pedal differ from norm, then adjust a pedal as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire from the backing switch.
2. Release a backing switch nut, take away the switch from a pedal.
3. Release a lock-nut of a pusher and adjust pedal height.
4. Tighten a pusher lock-nut with m 18 N.' moment.
5. Adjust a gap And the backing switch, tighten a nut and attach a wire.
