8. Brake system

8.1. Adjustment of drum brakes

1. Lift the car and establish on supports.
2. Apply tags on a flange of a half shaft and on a drum. Turn off nuts, remove a wheel and a drum.
3. Measure the internal diameter of brake drums.
4. Adjust the provision of blocks according to diameter of a drum. Blocks are regulated by their movement by the lever by means of special adaptation (is available on sale) before obtaining the necessary diameter. If it is necessary to reduce diameter of blocks, then it is necessary to reduce effort on a strut for what it is necessary to hold a strut a wire piece.
5. Install reels and wheels. Lower the car. Press a brake pedal that blocks evenly nestled on a drum.
