6.3.5. Back driveshaft

GENERAL INFORMATION

Details of the back driveshaft

1 – bolt of a flange of the reverse gear
2 – bolt of a flange of forward section of the driveshaft
3 – back section of the driveshaft
4 – bolt of fastening of an arm of a support of a shaft
5 – forward section of the driveshaft

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Rear wheel drive cars
1. Lift the car and establish on supports.
2. Put tags of mutual orientation of a fork and a shaft.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening and remove the driveshaft.
4. At installation combine the put tags and tighten bolts.
Cars with a wheel formula 4х4
5. Lift the car and establish on supports.
6. Put tags of mutual orientation on a flange of the driveshaft and on a flange of the leading gear wheel of the back bridge.
7. On cars with one driveshaft turn off nuts of fastening of a flange of a shaft to a flange of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of the back bridge. Lower a shaft and get from transmission.
8. On cars with the 2-section driveshaft perform the following procedures:
8.1. Turn off nuts of fastening of a flange of back section of a shaft to a flange of the leading gear wheel of the back bridge.
8.2. Turn off nuts of fastening of a flange of back section of a shaft to a flange of forward section.
8.3. Turn off bolts of fastening of an average support to a body, displace forward section of the driveshaft back and remove from the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On cars with the 2-section driveshaft establish a shaft in the following order:
1.1. Establish forward section of the driveshaft in transmission, establish an average support, turn and tighten bolts of fastening of a support to a body.
1.2. Attach back section of a shaft to a flange of forward section, tighten fastening bolts.
1.3. Attach back section of a shaft to a flange of a shaft of the back bridge, tighten nuts.
2. On cars with the 1-section driveshaft establish a shaft in transmission, connect a shaft flange to a flange of the leading gear wheel of the back bridge.
