Removal of a lock ring of a shaft of selection of the power (Trooper/Bighorn cars)


On these cars the case of the transfer case is back section of a case of transmission. Transmission is removed assembled with the transfer case (see subsection 6.2.5).

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a lock plate, the remote plug and an intermediate shaft assembled.
2. Remove a sealing ring, a gear wheel, needle bearings and the second persistent washer from an intermediate shaft.
3. Remove the remote plug, needle bearings and the coupling of inclusion of the lowering transfer (demultiplicator) from a forward part of a shaft of selection of power.
4. From a back part of a shaft of selection of power turn off a nut.
5. Vypressuyte back bearing.
6. Remove an adjusting washer, a reducer of a speedometer and the remote plug.
7. Vypressuyte average bearing.
8. Remove a persistent washer, a gear wheel, needle bearings and the coupling of shutdown of one leading bridge.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove back section of a case assembled.
2. Remove forks, get a pin and details of a clamp. For removal of forks and rods beat out crackers from rods.
3. Get a lock ring from a secondary shaft and press the bearing.
4. Turn off a nut of a secondary shaft of transmission and remove the coupling and a nave of the synchronizer of a demultiplicator.
5. Remove needle bearings, a bearing holder, a ball of a clamp and the plug.
6. Get a lock ring of a shaft of selection of power of the forward bridge, the block of gear wheels and the second lock ring.
7. Press the bearing from a shaft, remove a holder, a lock ring of an auxiliary gear wheel, an adjusting washer, a flat spring ring and an auxiliary gear wheel.
8. Remove needle bearings, a nave, the coupling from a shaft of selection of power of the forward bridge and press the bearing.
9. Get a lock ring and remove an intermediate shaft.
10. Press bearings from an intermediate shaft.
11. Remove an adjusting washer a flat spring ring and an auxiliary gear wheel.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Wrap up a tape of a vent of a shaft of selection of power and grease with sealant the condensed surfaces of a case of the transfer case.
2. Collect an intermediate shaft with bearings, a gear wheel, spring and lock rings upside-down.
3. Collect a shaft of selection of power with bearings, gear wheels, spring and lock rings upside-down.
4. Establish a collected shaft of selection of power in a case.
5. Fix a shaft by a lock ring.
6. Establish on a secondary shaft all removed details upside-down and tighten a shaft nut with m 130 N.' moment.
7. The bearing also establish to Napressuyta a lock ring.
