GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The gear belt needs to be removed and established when the engine cold. Spring scales or a 9-kilogramovy small weight are necessary for the correct tension of a belt.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the piston of the cylinder No. 1 in the provision of VMT at the time of a compression step.
2. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
3. Remove the lower casing of a gear belt of the drive of the camshaft.
4. Block asterisks of the camshaft and the injecting pump, having inserted bolts of M8 (1) into adjusting openings in an asterisk, having twirled them in carving openings in a back guard. Check that the opening and a pin of a nave of a pulley of a bent shaft were correctly combined with the index (2) of the top dead point on a back guard.
5. Turn off fixing screws and remove the directing plates of a gear belt from asterisks of the camshaft (1) and the injecting pump (2).
6. Turn off a fixing bolt of a pulley of a tension of a gear belt and take away a pulley of a natyazhitel from a belt.
7. Take off a gear belt from asterisks and take off it from the engine.
If you are going to reuse a belt, by means of white paint mark the direction of the course of a belt. Do not rotate a bent shaft until the gear belt is established.
8. Carefully examine a gear belt on existence of traces of uneven wear, cracks or pollution by oil, and replace it if it is necessary.
9. If you carry out a partition of the engine which run exceeds 65 thousand kilometers or it was in operation more than 4 years without replacement of a gear belt, replace a gear belt irrespective of its state.
10. If the belt is polluted by oil, find a source of pollution and eliminate it, then wash out area around a gear belt and all elements connected with a gear belt.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation carefully clear asterisks of a gear belt and a pulley of a natyazhitel, and also intermediate pulleys.
2. Check that asterisks of the camshaft and the injecting pump were blocked and check that the opening and a pin of a nave of a pulley of a bent shaft were correctly combined with the index of the top dead point.
3. Establish a gear belt on asterisks of a bent shaft and the camshaft, then establish a belt on an intermediate pulley and an asterisk of the injecting pump.
4. Check that the site of a belt between asterisks of a bent shaft, the camshaft and the injecting pump was tense (i.e. that the belt sagged on that party where the pulley of a natyazhitel is located), then establish a belt on a pulley of a natyazhitel. Do not overwind a belt at installation.
5. Check that teeth of a belt were established on the middle of a side surface of asterisks, and adjusting marks were correctly located.
6. At installation of an old gear belt check that the arrow made on a belt at removal specified in the direction of the course of a belt.
7. Release the lever of a natyazhitel and press a pulley of a natyazhitel to a gear belt so that it was tense. Slightly twirl a fixing bolt of a pulley.
8. Check that the mark in a nave of a pulley of a bent shaft was combined with the index of VMT, then remove lock bolts from asterisks of the camshaft and the injecting pump.
9. Hook on spring scales or a small weight for an opening on the end of the lever of a pulley of a natyazhitel. Having given load in 9 kg of the lever of a natyazhitel, turn off a fixing bolt of a pulley of a natyazhitel, then reliably twirl it.
10. Having established a key with a cap head on a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft, turn a bent shaft on 45 ° counterclockwise in order that the belt sagged on the party of a pulley of a natyazhitel. Having given load in 9 kg of the lever of a natyazhitel, turn off a fixing bolt of a pulley of a natyazhitel again, then twirl it till the required inhaling moment.
11. Remove spring scales or a small weight from the lever of a natyazhitel, then turn a bent shaft so that the piston of the cylinder No. 1 was installed in a provision of VMT again.
12. Check that the pin / opening on a nave of a pulley was combined with the index of VMT and that bolts of asterisks of the camshaft and the injecting pump were twirled.
13. If adjustment is necessary, release a natyazhitel, then take off a belt from asterisks and execute necessary adjustments before a repeated stretch of a belt.
14. After the gear belt of the drive of the camshaft is correctly tense, fix the lever of a natyazhitel.
15. Establish the directing plates on asterisks of the camshaft and the injecting pump, having reliably twirled their fixing bolts.
16. Check that lock bolts of asterisks were removed, then establish covers of a gear belt of the drive of the camshaft and a pulley of a bent shaft.
