GENERAL INFORMATION

CARBURETTOR ENGINES

The soaking-up collector of 4-cylinder carburetor engines

1 – hose of a zolotnik of ventilation of a case
2 – tube of ventilation of a case

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight. Merge cooling liquid.
Prevention

Before removing the soaking-up collector be convinced that liquid is completely merged. Otherwise at removal of a collector, the rest of liquid can get to cylinders.


2. Remove the air filter.
3. Disconnect a radiator hose from a forward part of a collector.
4. Disconnect tubes of the fuel highway, all vacuum tubes and hoses and a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve.
5. Disconnect heater hoses in a back part of a collector and from unions under the dashboard.
6. Disconnect a vacuum hose of the distributor of ignition and all conducting from the thermal vacuum regulator. Disconnect conducting of the solenoidal valve or thermoelectric drive of the air gate.
Prevention

Before a detachment attach identification labels to wires.


7. Disconnect a hose of a zolotnik of ventilation of a case from a cover of a head of cylinders. Disconnect the recirculation valve from a tube, disconnect a vacuum hose of system of a suction of air from a tee.
8. Turn off eight nuts of fastening of the soaking-up collector and carefully remove a collector.

Ustnovka

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a condition of a collector, existence on it of cracks and damages. Check deformation of the demountable plane of a collector by means of caliber and the probe. Extent of deformation of the plane should not exceed 0,4 mm. If deformation exceeds this limit, then the demountable surface should be proshlifovat.
2. Clear a collector of the consolidation remains.
3. Replace laying, establish a collector and tighten fastening nuts with m 34–43 N.' moment.
4. Attach a hose of a zolotnik of ventilation of a case to a cover of a head of cylinders. Attach the recirculation valve to a tube, attach a vacuum hose of system of a suction of air to a tee.
5. Attach a vacuum hose to the ignition distributor, attach all conducting to the thermal vacuum regulator. Attach conducting to the solenoidal valve or to the thermoelectric drive of the air gate.
6. Attach heater hoses to a back part of a collector and to unions under the dashboard.
7. Attach tubes of the fuel highway, all vacuum tubes and hoses and a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve.
8. Attach a radiator hose to a forward part of a collector.
9. Install the air filter.
10. Fill in cooling liquid. Connect the battery to weight. Check existence of leaks.

THE ENGINE 4ZD1 (EQUIPPED WITH SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF FUEL)

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Depressurize fuel system, following rules. Disconnect the battery from weight. Remove the air filter.
2. Turn off a bolt of an arm of a recirculation tube in a back part of a head of cylinders.
3. Lift the car, establish on supports. Pick up the recirculation phone from the soaking-up and final collectors.
4. Remove from the soaking-up collector the recirculation valve assembled with an arm.
5. Lower the car and merge cooling liquid.
6. Disconnect the top hose of the cooling system from the soaking-up collector.
7. Disconnect draft of management of a butterfly valve, vacuum tubes, conducting and tubes of the fuel highway from the soaking-up collector.
8. Turn off nuts of fastening of the soaking-up collector and disconnect a collector from a head of cylinders.
9. Holding a collector disconnect the lower hose of a heater and remove a collector.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Attach the lower hose of a heater to a collector. Establish a collector, previously having replaced laying. Tighten fastening bolts with m 21 N.'s moment.
2. Attach draft of management of a butterfly valve, vacuum tubes, conducting and tubes of the fuel highway to the soaking-up collector.
3. Attach the top hose of the cooling system to a collector.
4. Attach to a collector the recirculation valve assembled with an arm.
5. Attach a recirculation tube to the soaking-up and final collector. Lower the car.
6. Wrap a bolt of an arm of a recirculation tube in a back part of a head of cylinders.
7. Install the air filter. Connect the battery to weight.

THE ENGINE 4ZE1 (EQUIPPED WITH SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF FUEL)

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Depressurize fuel system, following rules. Disconnect the battery from weight. Remove an air duct.
2. Merge cooling liquid. Disconnect the top hoses of the cooling system from a collector.
3. Disconnect a rubber hose of the regulator of a stream of air from the mixing camera.
4. Remove from the soaking-up collector the recirculation valve assembled with an arm.
5. Disconnect draft of the drive of a butterfly valve, vacuum tubes, conducting and tubes of the fuel highway from the camera of a butterfly valve.
6. Turn off nuts of fastening of the camera of a butterfly valve to the mixing camera.
7. Turn off bolts of fastening of the mixing camera to the soaking-up collector and remove the mixing camera.
8. Turn off nuts of fastening of the soaking-up collector to a head of cylinders, remove a collector.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a collector, previously having replaced laying.
2. Mount the mixing camera on the soaking-up collector, previously having replaced laying. Wrap fastening bolts with m 20–25 N.' moment.
3. Replace laying and mount the camera of a butterfly valve.
4. Attach draft of the drive, vacuum tubes, conducting and tubes of the fuel highway to the camera of a butterfly valve.
5. Install on the recirculation valve which is soaking up a collector assembled with an arm.
6. Install a rubber hose of the regulator of a stream of air on the mixing camera.
7. Attach the top hoses of the cooling system to a collector.
8. Establish an air duct, connect the battery to weight, fill in cooling liquid.

DIESELS C223, C223T

Details of the soaking-up and final collectors on the diesels C223, C223T

1 – turbocompressor

On these diesels uniform laying for the soaking-up and final collectors is provided.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight. Merge cooling liquid.
2. Disconnect draft of the drive from the camera of a butterfly valve.
3. Disconnect vacuum tubes and sockets, previously having marked them.
4. On cars without turbo-supercharging disconnect an exhaust pipe from a collector.
5. On engines with a turbocompressor perform the following operations:
     – disconnect inlet and final hoses from a turbocompressor;
     – disconnect an oil supply tube from a turbocompressor;
     – turn off nuts of fastening of a turbocompressor to a final collector, nuts of fastening of an exhaust pipe to a turbocompressor and remove a turbocompressor assembled.
6. Turn off bolts of fastening of the soaking-up collector to a head of cylinders and remove the soaking-up collector.
7. Turn off bolts of fastening of a final collector to a head of cylinders and remove a final collector.
8. Clear collectors of the remains of old consolidations.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish new laying on a head of cylinders so that the central tag was turned up and outside.
2. Establish a final collector on a head of cylinders. Wrap bolts and nuts of fastening of a final collector and tighten them with m 14–25 N.' moment on engines without turbo-supercharging and 17–25 N. of m on engines with a turbo-supercharging.
3. On cars without turbo-supercharging attach an exhaust pipe to a collector.
4. On engines with a turbocompressor perform the following operations:
     – fill a turbocompressor with fresh oil for the engine, establish a turbocompressor;
     – wrap nuts of fastening of a turbocompressor to a final collector with 24–32 N.' moment of m and nuts of fastening of an exhaust pipe to a turbocompressor with m 24–32 N.' moment;
     – attach inlet and final hoses of supply of oil to a turbocompressor.

V6 ENGINES

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Depressurize fuel system, following rules. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove an air duct. Merge cooling liquid.
3. Disconnect the camera of a butterfly valve, conducting and hoses from the soaking-up collector.
4. Disconnect fuel hoses from the camera of a butterfly valve and muffle them.
5. Disconnect a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve.
6. Disconnect wires from candles and from the ignition coil.
7. Uncover the ignition distributor together with wires.
8. Mark position of the runner concerning the case of the distributor and position of the case of the distributor of rather soaking up collector.
9. Remove a collar of the distributor and the distributor.
10. Apply tags on the vacuum highway of recirculation and hoses of system of decrease in toxicity.
11. Remove arms of tubes from covers of the gas-distributing mechanism.
12. Uncover a head of cylinders.
13. Remove the top hose of a radiator and a hose of a heater.
14. Disconnect sockets from sensors of cooling liquid.
15. Turn off nuts and bolts of fastening of the soaking-up collector, remove a collector and laying.
16. Clear a collector of the sealant remains.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply on a forward and back part of the block of a drop of sealant with a diameter of 3,0 mm, previously having cleared surfaces of water and oil.
2. Replace laying, having paid attention to the tags distinguishing the left laying from right put drops of sealant with a diameter of 6,0 mm and establish laying on heads of cylinders. In order that laying laid down in the place around bars of pushers their adjustment can be necessary.
3. Wrap nuts and bolts of fastening with m 31 N.'s moment in the sequence specified illustrations, repeat an inhaling in the same sequence.
4. Check reliability of consolidation between edges of a head and the soaking-up collector.
5. Attach hoses of a radiator and a heater to a collector.
6. Establish covers of a head of cylinders, having replaced laying.
7. Attach sockets to sensors of cooling liquid.
8. Establish arms of tubes.
9. Install the distributor and a cover, having combined the tags put when dismantling.
10. Attach draft of the drive and fuel tubes to the camera of a butterfly valve.
11. Attach all wires and vacuum hoses.
12. Establish an air duct. Connect the battery to weight. Fill in cooling liquid.
