GENERAL INFORMATION

PETROL ENGINES

The thermostat is mounted in the top part of the soaking-up collector in a forward part of the engine and closed by a cover.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Merge cooling liquid. Disconnect the top hose of a radiator from the thermostat case.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Uncover the thermostat which is soaking up a collector.
5. Remove laying and get the thermostat.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the thermostat so that the spring was turned towards the engine.
2. Establish new laying and a cover. Tighten bolts with m 20 N.' moment.
3. Attach the top hose to a thermostat cover, fill in cooling liquid.
4. Install the air filter.
5. Connect the battery to weight.
6. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature, check operation of the thermostat.

DIESEL ENGINES

On diesel engines the thermostat is mounted in a forward part and closed by a cover.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Merge cooling liquid.
3. Disconnect sockets from a thermostat cover.
4. Turn off bolts of fastening of a cover of the thermostat and uncover.
5. Remove laying and the thermostat.
6. Clear surfaces of the consolidation remains.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the thermostat, the spring has to be turned to the engine.
2. Establish new laying, a cover the thermostat and tighten bolts with m 14–24 N.' moment.
3. Attach sockets.
4. Attach radiator hoses to a thermostat cover branch pipe, fill in cooling liquid.
5. Connect the battery to weight.
6. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature, check operation of the thermostat.
