3.2.2.18.2. Check of a state

ENGINES 4ZD1 AND 4ZE1

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Examine the pump, check existence of signs of wear and mechanical damages.
2. Insert an external rotor of the pump into the block of cylinders.
3. Check a gap between the demountable plane of the block of cylinders and a rotor which has to be within 0,05–0,10 mm. Otherwise replace the pump.
4. Check a side gap between external and internal rotors which has to be within 0,23–0,36 mm. Otherwise replace an external rotor.
5. Dress a rotor on the pump roller.
6. Check a radial gap between external and internal rotors which has to be within 0,13–0,15 mm. Otherwise replace both rotors.

DIESELS C223 I C223T

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Examine the pump, check existence of signs of wear and mechanical damages.
2. Remove the lower cover of the pump.
3. Check gaps:
      – between the plane of a pump housing and an internal rotor (a normal gap of 0,02-0,07 mm);
      – a gap between external and internal rotors (a normal gap of 0,14 mm);
      – a gap between the pump housing plane an external rotor (a normal gap 0,20-0,27mm);
      – a gap between the case and the roller of the pump (a normal gap of 0,20 mm).
If gaps differ from norm or if there are strong indications of wear, assembled replace the pump.
