3.2.2.14.2. Cleaning and check of a state

GENERAL INFORMATION

Removal of a deposit from a head of cylinders by means of the wire brush clamped in a drill

1 – wire brush

Check of deformation of the demountable plane

1, 3 – on diagonal

2 – on the axial line

By means of the pallet remove a friable deposit from heads of valves and combustion chambers from strong breeds of a tree. Delete deposits of a deposit with a wire brush.

Prevention

Removal of a deposit cleaning by an emery paper is not allowed.

For removal of lubricant, corrosion and a scum from channels boil a head of cylinders in a vessel with detergent. Wash out details of a head of cylinders in an engine cleaner. When washing you watch that the passivating covering did not descend from springs.
Prevention

The head of cylinders is made of aluminum alloy therefore it cannot be washed out in that solution which is intended for the heads cast from cast iron. If the head is taken to repare, then it is necessary to inform on it.

Check deformation of the demountable plane of a head of cylinders by means of caliber and the probe. If deformation exceeds 0,08 mm on length of 152 mm, or 0,15 mm on all length of a head, then the head of cylinders should be proshlifovat.

If deformation of the demountable plane of a head of cylinders such is that exceeds limit reduction of height owing to grinding, then the head of cylinders should be replaced. When grinding a head of the V-shaped engine the seat of the soaking-up collector therefore it is also necessary to profrezerovat and a flange of a collector on the adequate size changes.

Grinding is carried out only in specialized workshops.
