The regulator represents the electromagnetic relay of the return current. Is established on engines of early release. It is mounted on the left mudguard in a motor compartment.


1. Remove the regulator from the car.
2. If on contacts there are signs of an erosion, then clear them an emery paper.
3. At first clear a gap in the core, and then – contacts.
4. Adjust a gap in the core for what release screws of fastening of a contact plate to a yoke. Move a contact plate up or down so that the gap was within 0,6–1,0 mm. Tighten screws.
5. Adjust a gap in contacts for what release the screw of fastening of the top contact. Move contact up or down and establish a gap within 0,3–0,4 mm.
6. Adjust tension at the exit of the regulator rotating the adjusting screw. For increase in tension wrap the screw, for decrease – turn off. Stop the screw a lock-nut. The adjusted tension has to be within 13,8–14,8 Century.
7. Establish a regulator cover, attach wires and install the regulator.

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Disconnect from the regulator of a wire and mark them.
3. Unscrew two screws of fastening of the regulator and remove the regulator.
4. Install the regulator.
5. Attach wires.
6. Connect the battery to weight.
