3.2.1.3. The induction sensor of ignition for V6 engines

GENERAL INFORMATION

Check of resistance of a winding of the induction sensor of ignition on V6 engines

Adjustment of a gap of the induction sensor on engines of early models

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect conducting from the sensor.
2. Switch an ohmmeter to average range
3. Measure sensor resistance between both conclusions and the case which has to be infinite.
4. Measure sensor resistance between conclusions which has to be from 500 to 1000 Ohms. Bend wires on the socket and the sensor to be convinced of lack of internal break.
5. If resistance does not meet standard, then replace the sensor.

Check of a gap on cars of early releases

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Measure by the probe a gap on a ledge of the induction sensor. Release two screws and move the ignition block so that the gap made 0,2–0,4 mm. Tighten screws and establish a cover.
