GENERAL INFORMATION

TROOPER, TROOPER II AND AMIGO/JAZZ C CARS ENGINES 4ZD1 AND 4ZE1

The coil of ignition of the Trooper, Trooper II and Amigo/Jazz cars with engines 4ZD1 and 4ZE1

D – high-voltage conclusion

E – positive conclusion

C – negative conclusion

The ohmmeter is necessary for check of primary and secondary windings of the coil of ignition.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect conducting together with the ignition coil, disconnect a high-voltage wire.
2. Measure resistance between conclusions of windings which has to be in the following limits:
      – resistance of primary winding for engines 4ZD1 (S-E conclusions) of 1,2-1,4 Ohms, for ZE1 engines (S-E conclusions) – 0,81–0,99 Ohms.
      – resistance of a secondary winding for engines 4ZD1 (conclusions of C-D) 8,6–13,0 kOhm, for engines 4ZE1 (conclusions of C-D) – 7,5–13,5 kOhm.
      – isolation resistance for engines 4ZD1 and 4ZE1 (a conclusion the S-case) not less than 10 Megohms.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect conducting of the distributor from the ignition coil.
2. Clear a metal arm of the coil.
3. Connect the voltmeter, as shown in rice. The coil of ignition of the Trooper, Trooper II and Amigo cars with V6 engines (position 1). Switch an ohmmeter to the top range and measure resistance which has to be infinite.
4. Connect an ohmmeter, as shown in rice. The coil of ignition of the Trooper, Trooper II and Amigo cars with V6 engines (position 2). Switch an ohmmeter to the lower range and measure resistance which has to be almost equal to zero.
5. Connect an ohmmeter, as shown in rice. The coil of ignition of the Trooper, Trooper II and Amigo cars with V6 engines (position 3). Switch an ohmmeter to vyskoomny range and measure resistance which has to be big, but not infinite.
6. If the measured resistance differ from specified, then replace the coil of ignition.
7. Attach conducting.
