3.1.7. Adjustment of turns of idling on engines with system of injection

GENERAL INFORMATION

The screw of adjustment of turns of idling (on the engines 4ZD1 and 4ZE1 equipped with system of injection of fuel)

And – the screw of adjustment of turns of idling

ADJUSTMENT OF TURNS OF IDLING (ALL 4-CYLINDER ENGINES)

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put the car on the emergency brake and enclose blocks under driving wheels.
2. Put the check point lever in neutral position (the selector of automatic transmission establish in situation P).
3. Connect a tachometer.
4. Make sure that the butterfly valve is completely closed.
5. Switch-off the conditioner (if is available).
6. Disconnect the socket (it is specified by an arrow in the drawing for engines 4ZD1 and 4ZE1) from the vacuum distributor of the regulator of pressure. Turns of idling have to be within 850–950 rpm.
7. If turns differ from specified, then adjust, rotating the screw A on the camera of a butterfly valve.

On 6-cylinder engines turns of idling are regulated automatically by means of control IAC – the valve (the air valve of the idling) operated from the on-board computer. Therefore the adjustment described above is not required.

In the engines equipped with system of injection of fuel, adjustment of quality of mix idling is not required.
