SYSTEMS OF IGNITION OF 4-CYLINDER ENGINES
Check of a gap in the engine 4ZD1 distributor
On 4-cylinder petrol engines mechanical and electronic contactless distributors of ignition are installed. In the contactless distributor the photo-electric sensor providing registration of position of the piston and speed of rotation of the crankshaft is used.
SYSTEMS OF IGNITION OF V6 ENGINES
On V6 engines the watching electronic system of ignition (EST) which consists of the battery, the distributor of ignition, the switch of ignition, candles, primary and high-voltage chains is installed.
Control of system of ignition is exercised from an electronic control unit (the on-board computer – BQ) on which signals from system of the sensors installed on the engine arrive. On the basis of signals from BQ sensors raschityvt the optimum moment of ignition and operates the distributor. The optimum angle of an advancing of ignition is defined by the ESC system (management of sparking) which main element the detonation sensor is.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE GAP ON THE ENGINE 4ZD1 DISTRIBUTOR
On the engine 4ZD1 before installation of the moment of ignition it is necessary to check and adjust a gap in the distributor.
| PERFORMANCE ORDER
| 1. Uncover the distributor, a sealing ring and the runner.
|2. Measure by the probe a gap on a ledge of the induction sensor which has to be 0,30–0,50 mm. If necessary adjust.
| 3. Weaken screws and move the sensor shaper before receiving the necessary gap. Tighten screws and again check a gap.
Details of the distributor of this engine are not subject to repair. Replace the failed details.
