2.4.2. Fuel filter (petrol engines)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The filtering element


On the Amigo/MU/Jazz and Rodeo/Passport cars the fuel filter is mounted directly on before the fuel tank, on the Trooper/Bighorn cars the fuel filter is in a back part of the car, from the inside of the right longeron.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Execute actions for a decompression of fuel system.
2. Lift the car a jack and establish on supports.
3. Flat-nose pliers press out and record tubes of the fuel highway on both sides of the filter (or weaken the union, holding tubes an alligator wrench).
4. Remove collars and disconnect fuel hoses.
5. Turn off a bolt and remove the filter.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the new filter so that the arrow on the case was directed on the car course forward.
2. Attach hoses to the filter, tighten collars.
3. Release tubes of the fuel highway.
4. Start the engine and check existence of a leak of fuel.
